Fun Things to do in Winter
As you may know, it’s getting cold and Winter is waking. We can’t go to the beach anymore without looking crazy. It’s time to switch to hot coco and warming yourself by the fireplace. If you’re the type of person that needs to DO something in order to enjoy, you came to the right article.
If you want to go out with your friends and have fun, there are lots of things to do. For instance, you can go ice skating. You can visit The Skating Edge Ice Arena in 23770 S. Western Ave. Harbor City, CA 90710. You can contact them by calling (310)-325-4474. The public skating times are 3:00~5:00pm Monday through Thursday, 12:00~2:00 on Saturday, 8:30~10:30pm Friday, and 8:00~10:00 on Saturday. For more info, you can check out their website on the following link: http://2-0-0-0.com/skatingedge/2009/index.html
The admission is around $10. Ice skating is a great way to “break the ice” with your friends; pun intended.
One thing you can do without driving anywhere is that you can just stay home and bake! It’s almost Christmas, and you can be the one this year baking them. There’s a lot of baking recipes, but you can check them all out here:
It’s a great way to bond with family and a great snack when you’re hungry. Be sure to have all the ingredients and an adult to supervise when you’re ready to put the cookies in the oven.
You can also get on your creative side and make some crafts! There’s too many to fit them all here, so you can try them all at:http://spoonful.com/winter/winter-crafts. You can use some to either protect your hands from a burning cup, or to hang them up on your tree!
As you can see, there’s a lot of things you can do in Winter without the beach and lazing in the sun. Winter is the season of holidays and joy. When you’re tired from ice skating with your friends, baking, and making something really cool, you can just finally relax in front of the fireplace with a nice cup of coco. Stay warm, and have a great winter!
