Magruder Middle School will start the CST on May 20th, but are you ready? The CST is very stressful and it could be hard, but I’ve got a few tips to help you focus on the test. Luckily, we are allowed to chew gum during the tests. I suggest you buy some mint flavored gum or mints because they are better for focusing. According to Baylor College of Medicine, study shows that those who chew gum have an average of 3% better than those who don’t. I also suggest you have a good dinner the day before, as well as good breakfast that morning. For breakfast I suggest eggs because they are full of nutrients and they keep you energized and focused. I also suggest a bowl of oatmeal because they have whole grains that can help your brain focus the whole morning. I also suggest you go to bed no later than 8:00 pm and wake up at 6:00 am. This allows a long time of rest and a lot of time to get ready for school. I would also suggest you to take a shower when you wake up so you are wide awake. Don’t forget to study, too! Just missing a few questions can mean the difference between below grade level and above grade level. Arrive on time! Don’t forget Tuesday’s testing starts at 8:00 am and the day ends at 1:20 pm.
