Were you ready to move, dance, and walk in the Move-A-Thon? We sure were! Everyone enjoyed our time there as we played basketball and volleyball. People also danced along to some epic music and walked or ran around the grass field. “The Move-A-Thon was fun! I especially loved DJ Ozzie!” said 6th grader, Taj G.
Your 4th period teacher gave you an envelope to ask for donations to support your school. This activity was allowed so Magruder could reach a goal of $3000. in donations, according to Mrs. Allen, the PTSA president, we raised $3093.95! The money will be used to pay for end-of-the-year activities and May field trips! The person with the most donations won an iPad mini. That was Bailey Romano.Classes that donated $350 received an ice cream party. The classes who earned ice cream parties were:
Mr. Vermette, Ms. Le, Mrs. Ji, Mrs. Davies, and Mrs. Takano/Yung
The “Extra Special Field Trip” to the Park was earned by Ms. Le’s class. Every student who participated in the fundraiser will receive a student store voucher.
So the Move-A-Thon was basically a fundraiser, but with full student involvement around the fun of exercise. Thank you to all the PTSA moms and dads and volunteers who made this possible!
