Veterans Day

Veterans Day

 By: Ahmed Khan, staff writer

Veterans Day is a day to respect every soldier that has served our country.  In the United States, Veterans Day is usually observed on November 11, 2010.  However, if it lands on a Sunday, then the following Monday is designated for holiday leave, and if it occurs on Saturday then either Saturday or Friday may be so designated .  It is good on Veterans Day either to visit a grave of a soldier or somebody from your family who served in the armed forces.  Or you can honor service men by going to a parade just to remember that they served our country.  And we should also thank the nurses that helped the soldiers in the war, because they are always there for us in wartime. And we should thank our President Barack Obama, who put in effort to defend our country and our state.  Finally, the last word that I want to say is that I appreciate every soldier.  They are brave to serve for our country and state, and thank you to all who serve to protect us. Thank You.
