For all those who have played NBA 2k11 the My Player mode is back and better ever. The game now has press conference after every game, there are also trade request and endorsements. For all the first time purchasers of a NBA 2K, the My Player mode lets you create your own player and start your quest for stardom.      You get skill points that help you upgrade your player’s stats such as perimeter shooting, mid range, inside shooting, and passing and many others. You get skill points by completing drills or games. You have to complete the objectives that are given to you at the beginning of the game, the more objectives you achieve the more skill points you earn at the end of the game. Once you are drafted and you have completed the summer circuits you will play in an official NBA game. If you are unhappy about your team, you can always request a trade but remember that you are only “requesting”, a trade which means that you might not get traded to the team you want.

The game also has different game modes like season playoffs and street pickup games. The season is just like a regular season but you can change the amount of games there are. Everyone’s favorite mode is the playoffs which is a tournament where the winners are the team that wins the best out of 5 or 7 games. You’re able to choose more than one team and simulate (auto play) games or just play them all. There’s also a dunk contest and 3-point shootout.
